ECM's challenge was very simple. How to create a campaign to meet sales targets in the UK, France and Germany for this market leading software security brand, on a very tight budget?

Based on research, ECM prepared the creative concepts and messages to communicate Rainbow's key messages in a series of impactful emails and a simple but effective direct mail piece all translated for each country.


Sales figures are of course confidential but suffice to say that Rainbow Technologies have enjoyed the sales quarter.

ECM's objective was to create an overall Roland DG brand for all product divisions and create lead generation for the new SOLJET SC-500 wide format solvent inkjet printer to support the dealer channel

Our strategy was to create a new brand styling to include optimising the promotion of European Minardi F1x2 sponsorship, develop an integrated direct marketing campaign to supply high quality leads to the dealer channel and coordinate all communications to 'sing from the same hymn sheet.'


* More than 50 SolJets sold as a direct result of the SIGN UK show promotion (target was 6)
* Another 40 high grade enquiries passed to dealers
* 240 out of 1000 targets entered the Minardi competition; one very lucky prospective customer won a day out with Minardi F1 x2 including a 200mph drive with their F1 team driver!


Big trade shows can still attract big prospects- if promoted effectively.

ECM were asked to put together a new campaign to attract the attention of UK-based Senior IT Executives in selected markets to Intel's stand at the Networks Telecom Show 2001 in the Birmingham NEC.


Three times as many people visited the stand as last year, nearly 500 people registered to receive further information and website use for the Intel LANDesk Management Suite site doubled overnight and has remained high.

ECM’s challenge was to create an effective lead-generation program for the iBase digital asset management software. A direct mail campaign and supporting range of marketing tools were developed – all on a very tight budget and in a short space of time.


The telemarketing follow-up team reported a massive 38% positive response on requests for appointments and further information from the first batch.

The following week at the Museums Association Show, the iBase Stand was busy with over 70 new registered prospects talking face-to-face with the sales team. In all, over 300 high quality leads were generated from the first phase of the campaign – an outstanding overall positive response rate of 38% of the targeted database.

ECM has undertaken pre-launch research and devised a lead generation program for Black Rocket, an Enterprise Network Platform for international hosting.


Pre-qualified leads were then invited to seminars which generated over 200 leads. The campaign is now being rolled out across France.
